Submission and Review process
PLEASE NOTE: THE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION PROCESS HAS ALREADY BEEN COMPLETED. NO NEW SUBMISSIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME.
DAC09 Submission and Review will take place entirely online, in a two-stage selection and review process - abstracts of proposed papers will be submitted in the first round, then, pending selection, full papers. Aspiring presenters will lodge a proposal abstract, identifying chosen theme, by May 1. Please note that you must associate each submission with a conference Theme. To review the themes click here:
Reviewers will assess abstracts and subsequently, invitations to submit papers will be sent by email. Papers deadline will be June 1, 2009. A second round review process will then occur. Notification of accepted paper will be sent by email by September 1, and final formatted papers will be due by October 1 for compilation into the DAC09 Proceedings which will be distributed at the conference.
In a spirit of free intellectual exchange, the organisers of DAC09 reserves the right to reproduce on paper, online and in digital media, the text, images an other materials submitted by applicants and accepted for presentation at DAC09 and/or inclusion in the DAC09 proceedings. Submissions will remain the property of their authors.
Posting a Proposal to multiple Themes
For abstracts that might apply to more than one Theme, the applicant should submit the abstract once under each chosen Theme. The submissions will then be reviewed separately under each Theme. This may result in acceptance to one Theme, more than one, or none. Multiple acceptance of the same proposal will be addressed by Theme leaders. The Theme descriptions offer guidance regarding which theme is most appropriate for a given abstract. Further questions may be directed to the theme leader.
